Glorp's Adventure
My final project for class was a mockup for an educational science game where you have to find the matching sample.
What is it?
In this silly "Game" you play as an alien race of cats that is looking to terraform Earth, You specifically, are an engineer science cat that is assigned to find the place where the sample was originally collected.
In game, there's a subtle moving jagged line that can kinda be seen here.
Inspirations
Some of my Main inspirations are pulled directly from other video games, with the alien cats being a meme at the time of making this project. And I'm a huge persona fan, and that can sometimes leak into my creations.
For Example...
Other than the text boxes and the font. One of the little effects i like that they use in persona games is this chatter or ambient talk of current events while you're running around. there's a little *psst Psst* or *Whisper Whisper* or *chatter Chatter* basically. if its something happening in the background its usually un this type of bubble. so i took that idea and used it to convey the fact the the alien cats are speaking a different language through some kind of electronic. (as the jagged boxes indicate feedback from the microphone)
